EDUC regularly organises thematic Staff Weeks aimed at various groups of staff across our eight universities.

The goal is to create cross-networking and learn from each other. This involves physical mobility to the partners and is supported through the Erasmus+ grant for staff mobility.

Staff Weeks in 2025

20-23 January: University of Pécs (Hungary)

[Staff Week] Digital Course Development and Virtual Mobility (educalliance.eu)

For academic staff.

The staff week education program is suggested primarily to teachers and instructors from EDUC partner universities who deal with international students, virtual mobility and joint courses within their institutions during everyday work.

Maximum capacity: 35 persons (3-4/partner institutions)

No participation fee. 

 

7-11 April: Masaryk University (Czech Republic)

MUST Week 2025: International Relations Office and Project Managers and Administrators with Faculty of Social Studies (muni.cz)

For academics and non-academic staff.

The MUST Week will offer a five–day programme for academics and non-academics interested in any of these topics: grant support, national funding, international funding, internal funding, communication tools, researching funding opportunities, opportunities for cooperation, International student admission, marketing of paid English full-degree programs, role of student ambassadors, services for students, exchange students and best practice sharing.

Maximum capacity: 20 persons

Participation Fee: 150 EUR

9th International Teaching Week in the University of Pécs Faculty of Business and Economics (pte.hu)

For academic staff.

This year, we are focused on the know-how of developing joint courses with our international partners. We are looking for applicants open to developing joint courses with us during this dynamic week. To strengthen our partnerships, two workshops during the ITW will focus on developing joint courses, which may also attract interest from our future partners.

Maximum capacity: 20 persons

No participation fee.

International Staff Week on Sustainability and Strategy Implementation (uni-potsdam.de)

For any university staff member that wishes to make sustainable changes in their workplace

The staff week aims to equip participants with strategies and tools to implement their individual sustainability goals, projects or challenges through knowledge input, interactive workshops, consultative support and the exchange with other colleagues. 

No participation fee.

12-16 May: Masaryk University (Czech Republic)

MUST Week 2025: Services for students with special needs: Inclusive Higher Education & Universal Design for Learning (muni.cz)

For academics and non-academic staff.

Teiresias Centre - Support Centre for Students with Special Needs at Masaryk University would like to invite you to a week-long staff training on Inclusive Higher Education & Universal Design for Learning. Participants will be presented with the principles of universal design for learning as well as other approaches and good practices when it comes to building an inclusive environment at a higher education institution.

Maximum capacity: 30 persons

There is a fee of EUR 150 (materials, social program, coffee breaks, two meals are included). No registration fee.

19-23 May: University of Rennes (France)

University of Rennes International Staff Week (univ-rennes.fr)

For non-academic staff. 3 professional fields targeted:

  • International relations: “How to Boost Internationalisation in the Era of Sustainability” 
  • Finance:“Sustainable Financial Management” 
  • Libraries: "Libraries and Open Science” 

Over the course of the five days, participants will have the opportunity to attend workshops and share their expertise in their professional field, but also to develop cross-disciplinary skills through activities shared by all participants. The week will also be enriched by cultural activities and social events. 

Participants: 

  • 21 participants from EDUC universities (3 participants per partner) 
  • Other participants from strategic partner universities accross the world

MUST Week 2025: Smart Solutions for Teacher Education (muni.cz)

For non-academic staff.

Our staff week on Smart Solutions in Training and Educating Teachers invites non-academic professionals (and interested academics) to explore practical, tech-driven strategies for work. The programme will cover topics from practice in faculty school and engaging the digitalized generation Z to topics like enhancing learning through AI, or virtual classrooms and online tools.

There is a EUR 170 fee due after acceptance into the mobility.

MUST Week 2025: Research Managers and Administrators (muni.cz)

For non-academic staff.

The MUST Week will be a tour of central services that are essential for development of excellent research at universities and other research institutions: grant support, research evaluation, and management of research infrastructures. It is a week of intense knowledge exchange with spotlight on good practice examples from MUNI, but co-created by all participants.

Participation fee of 500 EUR.

6th International Staff Training Week (uji.es)

For non-academic staff.

This event aims to foster connections and explore new opportunities for collaboration between colleagues. It focuses exclusively on training mobilities and job shadowing opportunities. Our primary goal is to bring together staff members involved in internationalisation, whether from partner or non-partner universities. In particular, we will offer a dynamic platform for administrative professionals to share expertise, forge meaningful networks, and explore best practices across core professional domains for HEIs.

Maximum capacity: 30 persons

We will focus on general topics from the agenda of International office such as mobilities, their administration, project management and marketing. Please see the detailed program below. Some of these topics will take the form of presentations, and some of them will take the form of group discussions. Participants will have the opportunity to network with colleagues from partner institutions from European and non-European countries.

This target group will be part of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), which means you must record your Erasmus STT mobility as a BIP mobility in the Beneficiary Module.

There is no participation fee.

The topic of the five-day meeting of academic librarians is library information and analysis services.
