Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic is happy to offer a special discounted rate to students from EDUC universities in our winter schools: 5-26 January 2025. Students can choose between International Security: Practical Insights or Human Rights and International Law, both of which are 6 ECTS (150 hours of work). It is possible to take the courses for 8 ECTS (200 hours of work).

The International Security: Practical Insights course, which focuses on the Czech and European response to different security threats (migration, energy, religion, cyber, etc.), brings students together from around the world to discuss the topics both in theory and practice. This course is open to students of a wide variety of backgrounds, but is particularly suited for those studying politics, international relations, and/or security or for students who may want to work in agencies related to these topics.

The Human Rights and International Law course looks at the Czech and European approach to international law and how it intersects with human rights topics with students from around the world. This course is designed for law students, or students with a strong background in law.

Each weekend both courses travel to Budapest, Prague, and Vienna where they have academic visits related to the course, and have a chance to visit the cities.

We are offering a special fee of 1,750 EUR (a 900 EUR discount from the full fee of 2,650 EUR) to our EDUC partners. This includes the following:

  • Transportation for the weekend trips (Prague, Vienna, Budapest)
  • Accommodation in Brno (apartment style in city centre) and weekend trips
  • Tuition for the winter school
