The 3rd edition of the European Student Assembly (ESA) took place in Strasbourg from the 10th to the 12th of April, 2024. This significant event brought together over 250 students from 170 European institutions, all representing 41 Alliances. The European Parliament hosted this assembly, where students discussed 11 essential themes related to the European Union and proposed their final recommendations.

Among the participants was Alicja Tuliszka, a dedicated EDUC Alliance student who played a pivotal role in the assembly. Alicja's journey and experiences offer a glimpse into the collaborative spirit and dynamic discussions that characterized ESA 2024. Her involvement highlights the assembly's impact on both a personal and professional level, showcasing the power of student-driven initiatives in shaping the future of Europe.

Alicja Tuliszka: "I decided to apply as a coordinator for the European Student Assembly to empower fellow students to create new collaborations and foster their engagement both at the European level and within their local communities. Through my previous experiences and skills, I wanted to encourage the panelists to embrace divergent perspectives during discussions and underscore the significance of individual voices in shaping the collective future."

What was the highlight of your experience at ESA 2024?

Alicja Tuliszka: "The climax of ESA unfolded in Strasbourg within the prestigious halls of the European Parliament. The event was marked by first in-person panel meetings, interesting inter-panel debates, and the invaluable exchange of ideas and strategies forged over months of preparation. Watching all of our recommendations get approved by the European Students Assembly was a moment I'll never forget – a reminder that when people come together, incredible things can happen."
