Join us for a two-day conference focusing on the Ethical Governance of Research and Innovation with a Gender Perspective, a crucial part of the ongoing EDUC-WIDE project. This event will take place from December 9-10, 2024, at the Sir Roger Scruton Meeting Room, Komenského nám. 2, Masaryk University, Brno, Czechia. Funded by the European Union, the sessions will gather leading scholars and practitioners to discuss case studies, best practices, and the implementation of Gender Equality Plans (GEP) across the EDUC Alliance.
Program Details
Day 1: Monday, December 9
The event will kick off with a welcome and introduction, followed by a series of engaging presentations:
- Ethical Governance and Gender Perspective Progress by Professor Elsa González Esteban (University Jaume I), exploring current advancements.
- Case Studies in Training Programs led by Professor Ester Cois (University of Cagliari), focusing on integrating ethical governance in research and teaching.
- Action Needed for GEP in EDUC with Professor Tony Burner (University of South-Eastern Norway), presenting the pathway forward for the alliance.
The day will conclude with a colloquium moderated by Christina Wolf (University of Potsdam), where attendees can discuss knowledge gained and its applications within EDUC-WIDE, followed by a guided city tour and social dinner.
Day 2: Tuesday, December 10
The second day will delve into practical tools and challenges:
- Using Data Analytics for Gender Dimensions in Open Science with Ph.D. Katalin Fuzér (University of Pécs), presenting data-driven insights.
- Implementing GEP in Research Amidst Ukraine’s Context by Ph.D. Tetiana Solodzhuk (Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University), discussing unique challenges and solutions.
- A colloquium moderated by Ph.D. Jana Nová, MBA (Masaryk University) will allow attendees to consolidate insights from the presentations, followed by a partner working session on EDUC-WIDE applications.
