How can we drive sustainable transitions in future higher education? Do you need a competence boost in your role at your university to move towards the goal of sustainable higher education?
The "Driving Sustainable Futures in Higher Education" program is an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme course kicking off with a physical meet-up from the 18th to 24th of June 2024, featuring in-person learning activities at Bø and Åsgårdstrand in southern Norway, and followed by mandatory online sessions scheduled for the 6th of September, 4th and 25th of October.
The program includes a series of lectures and discussions on topics such as teamwork effectiveness, sustainable living, relation to nature and regenerative futures. Participants engage in group work, explore place-based sustainability initiatives, and develop small-scale projects for implementation in their institutions. These diverse activities aim to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to drive sustainable futures in their respective institutions.
In addition, an outdoor day in the mountains at Lifjell and visits at various sustainability initiatives, including "The Magical Factory" and Vrangfoss Sluser, provide inspiration and connection with nature. By combining theoretical knowledge with practical experiences and collaborative projects, "Driving Sustainable Futures in Higher Education" provides a holistic approach to sustainability in higher education.
Deadline for applying to attend the programme: May 13th, 2024
How to apply: Send an e-mail to USN Sustainability explaining your interest in the programme and your work with sustainability issues at your university.
