
As a part of the EDUC young researchers programme (EYRP) the University of Pécs is looking for a postdoctoral researcher.
The EYRP is an international postdoctoral fellowship programme aiming at attracting talented scientists to develop their two-year project in the Universities of the EDUC Alliance in line with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (C&C).
The purpose of a postdoctoral position is four-fold:
- To develop creativity and independence as a scientific researcher
- To obtain new skills and develop new methodologies
- To provide networking opportunities with other researchers within and outside the field
- To receive career development training for future career goals.

- Research topic: Fatty acid analysis of plant-based foods
- Field of science: nutrition, chemistry
Institute of Physiology
- Research topic: Neuroscience
- Field of science: Metabolic consideration of posttraumatic stress disorder
Institute of Translational Medicine
Research topic:
- Exploring the regulation of body temperature in health and disease,
- Primarily through preclinical (animal experimental) studies, and to a lesser extent, clinical investigations.
Institute of Primary Care
- PALliative Care Yields Cancer welLbEing Support (PAL-CYCLES) (HORIZON-HLTH-2021-DISEASE-04-01) – Palliative and end-of-life care, medical communication, oncology (2022-2027)
- EU PAL-COPD (HORIZON-HLTH-2023-DISEASE-03-01) – Palliative and end-of-life care, pulmonology (COPD), medical communication (2024-2028)
Option 2: University of Pécs – Faculty of Science, Institute of Geography and Earth Sciences, Department of Political Geography, Development and Regional Studies

- Migration, security policy, identity issues, ecology (with a focus on the effects of climate change), transforming economic systems, the social aspects of digitalization, urbanization, and rural depopulation
Institute of History
Topic:
- The planned joint research project will examine the confessional cultures of the former Habsburg Monarchy in the 16th-19th centuries.
- The focus will be on the public and academic activities of Hungarian, Slavic and German-speaking Catholic and Protestant intellectuals.

- The effect of beauty stereotypes on the perception of sexual assault

- Experimental research on the internal drivers of over-indebtedness: how psychological, emotional, and cognitive factors influence individuals’ financial decisions (behavioral economics)
